Tata Punch.EV And Tiago.EV Get Massive Discounts: Upto Rs. 1.46 Lakh Off
Tata Motors has announced lucrative deals and discounts on its electric vehicle models- the Punch EV and Tiago EV. The prices of these were reduced last month. Buyers now benefit from additional cash benefits which the carmaker calls ‘Green Bonus’. Additional corporate discounts apply on top of this. Here is everything to know about these benefits…
Tata Punch EV: Save Up to Rs 1.46 Lakh
For the Punch EV, Tata Motors dealers are offering Rs 20,000 as a cash discount, along with corporate discounts of up to Rs 6,000. That makes it a total of 26,000 in fresh cuts. This offer is applicable for both the MY2023 and MY2024 models. After last month’s price reduction, the Punch EV now ranges between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 13.79 lakh, down from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 14.99 lakh. Back then, up to 1.2 lakh was shaved off its price. The base variant got a cut of 1 lakh while the top-spec had 1.2 lakh off. With the new discounts in place, the total savings on Tata Punch EV becomes 1.46 lakh.
The Punch.EV is based on the new Acti.EV skateboard platform. It is available with two battery packs- 35 kWh battery offering a range of 421 km (MIDC) or a 25 kWh unit with 315 km range. The 25 kWh version produces 80 bhp/114 Nm, while the 35 kWh generates 120 bhp/190 Nm. The vehicle also comes with selectable drive modes- Eco, City, and Sport- and three selectable regen modes.
The EV gets features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging pad, 360-degree camera, and ventilated front seats. It also comes with 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, ESP, and cruise control. Five variants are available: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+.
Tata Tiago EV: Save Up to Rs 96,000
The Tata Tiago EV also saw a price drop last month, and is now priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 10.99 lakh, marking a reduction of up to Rs 40,000 for the top-spec variant. In addition to this, buyers can avail extra savings of up to Rs 56,000 and corporate benefits of 6000 this month. This makes it a total of 96,000 in savings.
The above discount applies to the mid-spec XT variant with the larger 24kWh battery pack. It is claimed to offer a range of 275 km every charge. The entry-level Tiago EV XE and XT variants, equipped with the smaller 19.2kWh battery (providing a range of up to 221km), offer cash discounts of Rs 10,000.
The Tiago EV is based on a converted ICE platform. In terms of design, it remains mostly identical to the ICE counterpart. Key highlights include EV-spec grille treatment, EV-spec trims and more. There are a total for four variants available: XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech Lux.
On the inside, the Tiago.EV gets features like a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a rear parking camera.
There are two lithium-ion battery packs on offer: 19.2 kWh and a 24 kWh. The smaller of these offer up to 250 kms in range while the larger is claimed to deliver 315 kms. 0-100% AC charging will take around 8.7 hours. Over a DC fast charger it will be around an hour.
These new discounts and savings make the Punch EV and Tiago EV, even more appealing for eco-conscious buyers during this festive season. By announcing price reductions and added bonuses, Tata Motors is working on the affordability of its EV lineup, providing purchase opportunities for a larger share of people.
