Tata Safari Now Selling At A Hefty 1.4 Lakh Discount: Variant Wise Discounts Explained [Video]

Tata has recently launched a new ‘King of SUVs’ festival to celebrate their milestone of selling 20 lakh SUVs in the Indian market. Under this festival which is valid to the end of July, Tata Motors has announced massive price cuts on their flagship SUV duo: the Harrier and the Safari. Regarding the price cut, the Tata Safari is now up to Rs. 1.40 lakh more affordable while the Harrier is Rs. 1.20 lakh more affordable. Please note that this price cut varies from variant to variant which we will discuss further.
Today, we will talk about the discounts and the accomplished plus trim of the Safari SUV via a YouTube video uploaded by Fuel Injected. First, let’s talk about the price cut in each trim.
The entry level Smart and Smart (O) trims get a price reduction of Rs. 50,000 changing their price from Rs. 16.19 lakh and Rs. 16.69 lakh to Rs. 15.49 lakh and Rs. 15.99 lakh respectively.
The Pure, Pure (O) and the Pure Plus trims see a price reduction by Rs. 90,000. The maximum price cut of Rs. 1.4 lakh is done on the Pure Plus S and the Pure Plus S DK trims.
The price of Pure Plus S and the Pure Plus S Dark Knight (DK) is reduced from Rs. 20.39 lakh and Rs. 20.69 lakh to Rs. 18.99 lakh and Rs. 19.29 lakh respectively.
The Adventure variant gets a price reduction of Rs. 50,000 while the Adventure Plus, Adventure Plus DK and the Adventure Plus A trims get a price reduction of Rs. 1.20 lakh.
Further the Accomplished, Accomplished DK, Accomplished Plus and the Accomplished Plus DK trims prices are reduced by Rs. 50,000.
The Tata Safari is a fully loaded SUV by the brand which competes with popular players such as the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV 700, Mahindra Scorpio N, Hyundai Alcazar and the upcoming Hyryder and Grand Vitara 7 seater.
Recently, Mahindra also announced a massive price cut of up to Rs. 2.20 lakh on the higher variants of the XUV 700. The Tata Safari is offered with a single diesel engine option only.
This is the same 2.0 litre diesel unit which powers the Tata Harrier. In the Safari, the engine delivers a power output of 170 PS and a torque of 350 Nm. Consumers can choose between a 6 speed manual and a 6 speed automatic with this engine. It’s a front wheel drive SUV, and Tata has no plans to launch an all wheel drive system, at least in the diesel version. An electric variant of the Safari is in the works, and is expected to be launched next year.
