2025 Tata Sierra EV Details

First off, let’s talk about the main highlight of the upcoming Tata Sierra, which is its powertrain options. The Sierra EV, as stated, will first be offered with an EV powertrain. According to reports, the Sierra EV could be offered with dual electric motors, which means it could have all-wheel-drive capabilities.

In addition to this, there could also be a single-motor variant as well. This variant will most likely only power the front wheels. Apart from this, it has been stated that it could come with a large 60-80 kWh battery pack, which will help it offer a range of 500 km on a single full charge. Additionally, it could also get a 100-150 kW DC fast charger.

Apart from the EV version, Tata Motors, in order to bank on the existing demand for internal combustion engine vehicles, will also offer the Sierra with ICE engine options. Reportedly, it will be equipped with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol TGDi engine, which was showcased earlier at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo.

This brand-new petrol engine will produce around 168 bhp and 268 Nm of torque. Most likely, this engine option will also be seen on the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari petrol models. Apart from this, the SUV could also get the same 1.5-litre diesel currently used on the Harrier and Safari. This 1.5-litre motor generates 167 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.

Now coming to the design details of the upcoming Tata Sierra. A while ago, a few production-ready Sierra patent images were leaked online. These images revealed that the company, which first showcased the model as a three-door SUV, has switched to a more practical five-door configuration.

However, it has been noted that the SUV will feature a unique design, making it look like a three-door model. The overall SUV will boast a boxy yet aggressive design that blends in a futuristic touch. At the front, it will have a split LED headlight setup along with a closed-off grille (EV version).

There will also be a chunky LED DRL light bar at the front as well. Moving on to the side profile, the SUV will get pronounced side claddings and a thick B-pillar, which will help mask its middle doors. It will also be offered with large 19-inch wheels.

Additionally, there were also many copper-colored elements throughout the interior, adding to a sophisticated appearance.
