Tata Sierra Official TVC Released (Video)
Tata Motors has finally unveiled the production version of the Sierra compact SUV in India. This iconic moniker is making its return after a long period, and this time around, it has been given an extremely futuristic avatar. Recently, Tata Motors released a brand-new TVC showing this iconic SUV’s reborn version. The new Sierra will be offered in both EV and ICE iterations and will be launched later this year.
The official TVC of the Tata Sierra has been shared on YouTube by Tata Motors Cars on their channel. In this short AI-generated video, a Tata Sierra finished in the same yellow color as shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo is seen driving in a rocky region. The video shows this SUV in detail from all angles. Also in the video, the old Sierra is shown as the reflection of this new model.
2025 Tata Sierra: Details
Design
Tata has hit it out of the park with the design of the new Sierra. This time around, this SUV has been given a much more modern and futuristic design. It gets a bold and muscular boxy shape with strong shoulder lines and an overall clean surface. At the front, it gets a massive rectangular grille with the Tata logo, Sierra badging, and sleek LED headlights. It also gets a connecting LED DRL.
The front bumper also exudes boldness and gets gloss black cladding on the middle section, while the lower part gets a silver skid plate. Moving on to the side profile, the SUV gets large 19-inch multispoke alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish. Also, the side claddings are finished in gloss black, which adds to a more premium appearance.
The B-pillar of the Sierra has been painted in body color, and the C-pillar has been integrated with the rear section using a glass window. This has been done to provide the Sierra with the same single-piece glass-like design that the original Sierra came with. Unlike the old model, the new Sierra gets a four-door layout.
Moving to the rear, the new Sierra gets a flat tailgate, and this time around, it ditches the spare wheel. Instead, the new Sierra gets a clean-looking connected LED taillight. Also, the rear bumper gets the same gloss black treatment and a silver skid plate.
Interior
The new Sierra gets a minimalistic dashboard with three floating screens. It also gets contrasting yellow accents and sleek AC vents. It also gets the newly introduced four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Its list of features includes multicolor ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, dual-zone automatic climate control, and ventilated front seats.
Safety Features
In terms of safety features, the new Tata Sierra will come equipped with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, radar-based ADAS Level 2 with a collision warning system, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and many others.
Tata Sierra: Powertrain Options
Initially, the Tata Sierra will be launched with an electric powertrain. It will be based on the Tata Acti.ev 400V architecture, which also underpins the Tata Harrier EV. The Sierra EV gets a 45 kWh and a 55 kWh battery pack. Its maximum range is expected to be around 550 km. It will also be offered in RWD and AWD configurations.
As for the ICE Sierra, it will be offered with two engine options. The first will be the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and the other will be the same 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine, which makes 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. These will come offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox, torque converter automatic, and a 7-speed DCT (petrol).
