Upcoming Tata Sierra Spotted Testing Alongside Curvv SUV [Video]

Tata Motors has been working on several ICE and EV models for the Indian market for quite some time. One of the most awaited models is the Sierra. The almost production-ready version of the SUV was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year. Tata has been testing the Sierra on Indian roads, and we have come across several videos and images where the upcoming Sierra is seen under heavy camouflage on the road. This time around, the Tata Sierra was spotted testing right next to a Tata Curvv at a traffic signal.
The video has been shared by Ajeya Bravo on his YouTube channel. There are two videos of the Tata Sierra available on this channel. The first one shows the Sierra stopped at a traffic signal in Pune. The Sierra was parked right next to a Tata Curvv, which was also on the road as part of testing.
As seen in the video, the Sierra is completely covered, and we only get a glimpse of the tail lamps. If you look carefully, you can spot the dynamic LED turn indicators on one of the Sierra test mules. The SUV retains the boxy SUV-like look and has a decent road presence as well.
It looks like one of the test mules is running on steel rims, while the other is on alloys. We only get a glimpse of the car in front, so we cannot confirm this. The sleek-looking LED tail lamps are visible, and in the second video, we also get a glimpse of the cabin.
It looks similar to what we have seen on the Harrier and Harrier.ev. It remains to be seen whether Tata will introduce a triple-screen setup like Mahindra or not.
The production version of the Sierra is likely to be offered with 19-inch alloy wheels. The upright bonnet and boxy design, along with blacked-out pillars and a roof designed to achieve a curved glass effect for the rear windows, are expected to be retained in the final model.
Tata will offer the Sierra with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version of the Sierra will come with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that will generate around 170 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version of the Sierra will use the same Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that generates 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque.
While the petrol version will get manual and DCA transmission options, the diesel will continue to offer manual and automatic transmissions.
The Sierra will also be offered as an EV, and it is likely to be powered by a 75 kWh battery pack. This is the same as the one offered with the Harrier.ev. Just like the Harrier.ev, the Sierra.ev is also likely to get the Quad wheel drive or AWD setup.
