Tata Tiago, Punch And Nexon EVs Get Discounts Of Up To Rs 1.3 Lakh In July
It is raining discounts in the Indian car market. Tata Motors, one of the leading car manufacturers in the country, is offering discounts not just on their ICE vehicles but also on their EVs. Tata is providing attractive offers and discounts on their electric vehicles this month. The discount is said to be part of Tata’s 20 lakh SUV sales milestone celebration.
As we have mentioned in many of our previous stories, the discounts offered on cars vary from city to city, and it is always a good idea to get in touch with the nearest dealer to know about the best deal. Customers can receive discounts of up to Rs 1.3 lakh on Tata EVs.
Tata Tiago EV
Tata Motors is offering discounts worth Rs 50,000 on the Tiago EV. It should be noted that this offer is only applicable to the Long Range variant at the moment. The Mid Range variant of the Tiago EV gets discounts worth Rs 10,000.
The Tiago EV is the entry-level EV from Tata and competes with cars like the MG Comet. The price for the Tiago EV starts at Rs 7.99 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom, before discounts. The electric hatchback has a claimed driving range of 315 km.
Tata is not offering any discounts on the Tigor EV sedan.
Tata Punch EV
It is the first Tata product to be built on a dedicated EV platform. It is based on Tata’s Acti.ev platform, which is exclusively for EVs. In the future, many electric vehicles from Tata will be based on this platform (Curvv EV, for example). Depending on the variant, the Tata Punch EV is being offered with discounts ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000.
The price for the Tata Punch EV starts at Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom, before discounts. It does not have a direct rival at the moment and offers a claimed driving range of 421 km. The Tata Punch EV recently scored 5-star ratings in the Bharat NCAP crash test.
Tata Nexon EV
The Tata Nexon EV was the first electric vehicle to be launched by Tata Motors in India. When launched, it was the most affordable electric SUV as well. The attractive pricing and decent driving range made the Nexon extremely popular among buyers. The electric SUV recently got a major facelift and now comes with a premium and futuristic design and features.
Tata is offering discounts of up to Rs 1.3 lakh as part of the 2 million SUV sales milestone celebration. The Empowered+ Long Range and the Empowered+ Long Range Dark Edition versions of the Nexon EV get the maximum discount.
The other variants of the Nexon EV get discounts ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000. It should be noted that Tata is not offering any discounts on the entry-level Creative+ Medium Range variant officially. The price for the Tata Nexon EV starts at Rs 14.49 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom, before discounts.
Just like the Punch EV, the Tata Nexon EV also scored a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Both the Punch EV and the Nexon EV became the first electric vehicles in the country to pass the crash test with such high scores.
