Tata launched their all-new electric SUV, the Harrier.ev, in the Indian market a few months ago. On Independence Day, Mahindra unveiled their future SUV concepts to the world as well. Both these Indian brands have been working hard to engage Indian customers and ensure that they don’t lose interest. Apart from the Harrier.ev, it looks like Tata is already working on a variety of models and has at least six launches lined up. What are those? Let’s find out.

Tata Harrier Petrol

The first one on the list is the Harrier petrol. Tata has been testing the petrol version of the Harrier for quite some time now. Now that they have launched the electric version of the SUV, they can completely focus on the petrol version. The Harrier petrol will be powered by an all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is expected to generate 170 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque.

The engine will be E20-compliant and will be offered with both manual and DCA gearbox options. Tata is expected to launch the Harrier petrol in the last quarter of 2025.

Safari Petrol

Soon after the launch of the Harrier petrol, we will see the same update implemented in the Safari as well. As we already know, the Safari is essentially a stretched three-row version of the Harrier SUV. While the Harrier.ev is already in the market, we might have to wait a bit longer for the Safari version before it goes on sale. The SUV is expected to be launched in the coming months.

Tata Punch Facelift

Tata’s smallest SUV, or the entry-level SUV, the Punch, turned out to be an unexpected hit in the market. It is, in fact, one of the best-selling models for the brand in India. It has been on sale for around three years and, apart from the special editions, it hasn’t received any major update since its launch.

Tata has been testing the facelifted version of the Punch on Indian roads, and by now we know that the SUV will be launched in the next couple of months. The Punch facelift will come with a redesigned front grille, bumper, headlamps, and even the welcome LED bar at the front. It will also have fog lamps integrated into the bumper, along with redesigned tail lamps and an updated rear profile.

Tata is likely to make minor cosmetic changes to the cabin of the Punch as well, giving it a more upmarket look compared to the outgoing model. It will continue to draw power from the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options.

Punch EV Facelift

After the launch of the Punch facelift, the electric version of the micro SUV will also get an update. The Punch EV is quite popular in its segment, and it is due for a refresh as well. The Punch EV facelift will receive minor exterior and interior changes, similar to the ICE version. The battery pack and other mechanicals are likely to remain the same as the current version.

Tata Curvv CNG

Tata currently offers the Curvv in petrol, diesel, and EV versions in the Indian market. The SUV is performing well and was the Indian manufacturer’s first coupe SUV. The Curvv is expected to get a dual-cylinder i-CNG technology, paired with the 1.2L Revotron engine. The SUV is expected to be launched around the festive season this year.

Tata Sierra EV

Another much-awaited product from Tata is the Sierra. What started as a concept model is now almost ready for production. The Sierra will be offered in both ICE and EV versions, with the EV version likely to launch first. The SUV is expected to be unveiled in the coming months, with the launch likely to happen early next year.
