What to choose?

A number of buyers have been waiting for Tesla to officially enter the Indian automotive market. However, it has to be mentioned that people who can shell out Rs 60 lakh for the Model Y are very few at the moment. And when the Model Y is competing with the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9E and Tata Harrier.ev, which offer more features and better powertrains than the Tesla, the choice becomes simple.

There is a large gap in the values of the Tesla Model Y (Rs 59.89 lakh), Mahindra XEV 9E (Rs 31.25 lakh), and Tata Harrier.ev (Rs 30.23 lakh). However, the gap in the amenities and road presence is not very significant when it comes to these vehicles. So it ultimately depends on the buyer whether he wants to pay double the price of Indian EVs for a Tesla or not.
