Toyota Glanza Signature Edition Detailed On Video

Toyota recently launched the Signature edition on the Glanza, Hyryder, Hycross and Fortuner. This dealer-level mod job aims to elevate the sakes during this festive season. Unlike the Hyryder and Fortuner, which get this edition on higher variants, all variants of the Glanza get the special edition. A video posted on ‘The Car Show’ YouTube channel explains the details of the special edition Glanza.
There are four trims available- E, S, G, and V. The video shows the Signature edition based on the entry-level E variant. The exterior is finished in White. The hood gets a new Black insert. The roof and pillars are also finished in Black. Multiple ‘Signature Edition’ badges are on areas like the front fenders and the tailgate. The grille, bumper inserts, and ORVMs have been hydro-dipped. These now feature intricate textures. Another key attraction is the 15-inch aftermarket wheels.
The interior gets extensive reworks. Like what we saw on the Hyryder and Fortuner, Glanza’s cabin gets a flashy new Orange colourway. It uses a lot of soft-touch materials inside. There are also hydro-dipped trims and inserts inside, similar to what can be seen on the exterior. The seats and door pads get quilted patterns. The front headrests get ‘Signature Edition’ badges. The steering wheel gets a velvet finish and there is ambient lighting as well. This special edition gets no feature additions.
The Glanza being a rebadged Maruti Baleno, shares its powertrains as well. It comes with a 1.2 Litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 89 hp and 113 Nm. The powertrains get mild hybrid systems and come with idle start/stop. The transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
The 2024 Toyota Fortuner Signature Edition, based on the diesel automatic 4×2 variant, gets cosmetic upgrades without altering its powertrain. It features a dual-tone White and Grey exterior, carbon fibre trims, Blue brake callipers, and new wheels. Inside, Blue leather accents can be found on the dashboard, seats, and steering wheel, with quilted leather upholstery and ‘Signature Edition’ branding on the headrests. The feature list remains unchanged and includes ventilated seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a JBL sound system. The SUV is powered by a 2.8L diesel engine producing 204 PS and 500 Nm. This edition is expected to solve the sinking sales of the Fortuner, at least partially.
The standout feature of the Hyryder Signature Edition, on the other hand, is the luxury-inspired dual-tone colour scheme, reminiscent of the Maybach and BMW i7. The Grey base comes with Navy Blue or Wine Red lead colours. The meeting point of these paints feature additional solid paint lines. Premium gloss trims and alloy wheels are exclusive to the Blue variant. The exterior also features “Signature Edition” badges and Teal brake callipers.
Inside, soft-touch leather in matching shades of the exterior lead colour, adds a luxurious touch to the dashboard, door panels, and steering wheel. Even the start/stop button wears this colour. The edition introduces leather-wrapped steering wheels, quilted leather upholstery, and a starry headliner, reminiscent of Rolls-Royce styling. While the standard S variant comes with fabric seats, the Signature Edition upgrades them to leather with “Signature Edition” branding on the headrests.
Other interior upgrades include carbon fibre (CF) trims, Black roof and pillars, and velvet-finished door handrests. Despite these cosmetic enhancements, the core features and mechanical aspects of the Hyryder remain unchanged.
