Anime-Inspired Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Glanza, And Taisor Showcased At Anime India 2025

Toyota Kirloskar Motor India recently showcased its three popular models—the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Glanza, and Taisor—at the Anime India 2025 - Ignite event. This pop culture event took place in Mumbai, and the Japanese automotive giant showcased these cars with unique anime-inspired wraps. All three cars became hotspots for selfies due to their distinctive, vibrant, and expressive wraps.
The company showcased two Urban Cruiser Hyryders, one Glanza, and one Taisor at the event. The first Urban Cruiser was wrapped in a bright shade of orange, and it featured a number of unique patterns. It had anime characters on the bonnet and on the doors. Additionally, there were several different color patches on the vehicle, which made it look very attractive.
Toyota also showcased the Taisor crossover SUV, which was finished in a multicolored wrap. This wrap design was selected to highlight the sporty and youthful design of the Taisor. As for the Glanza premium hatchback, it was wrapped in a bright green color with anime graphics, and it also looked very distinctive.
Apart from the uniquely wrapped cars, Toyota also set up an immersive booth at the event to ensure that anime lovers stopped to check out their cars. The booth was designed with colorful backdrops and interactive visuals to match the popular culture of anime. Additionally, there were dedicated spaces to click selfies and shoot reels.
For those who may not be aware, Anime India is India's first and largest-ever full-scale anime convention. This event is dedicated to celebrating Japanese anime and manga culture. It commenced on August 22 and ended on August 24 at the NESCO Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The Anime India event was organized as part of AnimationXpress’s annual animation and more summit lineup.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder showcased at the event is the brand's most affordable hybrid vehicle. This mid-size SUV is offered with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 103 bhp and is paired with a 12V mild-hybrid system. It also gets a strong hybrid unit, which comprises a 3-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor and battery pack. The setup offers a maximum output of 116 bhp.
As for the Glanza and Taisor, they both come powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated, four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 89 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Glanza also gets an optional and more powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which makes 99 bhp and 148 Nm of torque.
Pricing-wise, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder starts at Rs 11.34 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.19 lakh. On the other hand, the Glanza is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 9.99 lakh. Lastly, the Taisor starts at Rs 7.88 lakh, and its top-of-the-line variant is priced at Rs 13.18 lakh. All of these cars are based on Maruti Suzuki cars, namely the Grand Vitara, Baleno, and Fronx.
