Toyota Taisor Signature Edition Detailed On Video
The Taisor is Toyota's version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It was launched in India in April 2024 and is currently priced in the range of 7.74-13.04 lakh. To boost its sales further, Toyota has now launched the 'Signature Editon' on the Taisor. In the past, we have seen similar editions being rolled out on other models as well. The Signature edition Taisor is a dealer-level mod job and is available only on the Turbo variant- V, and will offer the choice of both manual and automatic transmissions. Toyota Taisor Signature Edition: Details
Like the Signature editions of Glanza and Hyryder, the Taisor too gets a dual-tone colourway that could distantly resemble the colourways seen on some Maybach models.
The hood and roof are finished in Grey colour while the rest of the bodywork wears the body colour. The roof rails are also finished in Grey. The front fender also gets a 'Signature Edition' badge. The front disc brake callipers are arer finished in Orange.
External body cladding, Outside Rear View Mirror (ORVMs) and several other areas of the design get Piano Black (gloss Black ) finishes as well. You also get to see this colour on the pillars and quarter panels as well.
The interior gets more prominent colour reworks. The door pads are now finished in Orange and feature quilted patterns on them. These even extend to the seats. You can also find multiple trims with brushed Satin Aluminium finish.
The seats get Orange semi-leatherette upholstry. The dashboard gets Orange-Black dual tone finish. The roofliner is finished in Black. Though it is easier to maintain and clean, the darker roof can lead to the car getting heated up quickly.
The V trim of the regular Taisor with the manual transmission will cost you Rs 11.47 lakh, the dual tone will come to you for 11.6 lakh (ex-showroom). The Signature edition will command a price premium of 2 lakh rupees and come to you with an ex-showroom price of a little over 13.5 lakh.
Toyota Taisor: A Closer Look At It
The top-spec Taisor comes with almost the same interior room and features as a fully loaded Fronx. The design differs slightly from the Maruti crossover.
The feature list includes a large infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, ambient lighting, steering-mounted controls, a 360-degree surround camera, and a head-up display. The interior colorway differs slightly from what you get to see on the Fronx.
In its exterior styling, notable changes can be found on the grille, bumpers, wheels and various other areas.
Toyota Taisor Engine Specifications & Transmission Options
Mechanically, the Toyota Taisor retains the same powertrain options as the Maruti Fronx. It thus has two engines on offer- a 1.2L naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine that makes 88 bhp and 113 Nm, and a more powerful 1.0L turbocharged petrol that produces 99 bhp and 148 Nm.
The NA engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT transmissions, while the turbocharged engine can be had with the manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit. Toyota also offers a factory CNG option based on the naturally aspirated engine. It is, however, available only on select variants.
