Festive Season Launch Blitz: 10 Cars Launching In The Next 2 Months

The upcoming festive season of this year will be jam-packed with multiple car launches from major automakers in the country. These launches will be of some of the most anticipated models. Now, if you are one of those buyers who are waiting to bring home a new car in the coming months, then this list is definitely for you. So, without any delay, let’s jump right into it.
The first car on this list is the highly anticipated CNG variant of the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift. The upcoming model will feature the same 1.2-liter K-series engine, but it will be adapted to run on CNG. Reportedly, it will deliver a mileage of over 25 km/kg. As for the launch date, it will be launched sometime next week. It will be priced around Rs 95,000 more than the current model.
Next up on the list is Hyundai’s popular three-row SUV, the Alcazar. The new model is getting a facelift, and it is expected to be launched on the 9th of September. The new Alcazar will feature several exterior updates, including a redesigned grille, sharper LED headlamps, and sportier alloy wheels.
On the inside, the facelifted model will likely come with connected 10.25-inch screens and additional features like a 360-degree camera and ADAS. Powertrain options will remain the same; however, it will command a premium over the outgoing model, which is priced in the range of Rs 16.77 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh.
MG Motor India is gearing up for the launch of its third all-electric model, the Windsor EV, in India. This new all-electric vehicle will make its official debut on September 11, 2024. This model, as we all are aware, is a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV from Indonesia.
It will come loaded with features like a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, and a panoramic glass roof. It will also get six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS. Powering the Windsor EV will be a 50.6 kWh battery pack. As per the company, it will offer a claimed range of 460 km. Pricing is expected to start around Rs 20 lakh.
The Jeep Compass is set to receive a significant mid-life update. The facelifted Compass will likely be launched by the end of October 2024. It will come with refreshed exterior styling, including a reworked front grille, sleeker LED headlamps, and new alloy wheels. On the inside, Jeep is expected to introduce an updated infotainment system with a larger touchscreen and wireless connectivity features. The Compass will continue to be powered by its reliable diesel and petrol engines. It will be priced starting at around Rs 22 lakh and going up to Rs 30 lakh.
Finally, after seeing the updated Carnival from all the international markets, it will be arriving in India as well. This time around, it will boast a much more aggressive SUV-like design while maintaining its MPV practicality. The new model is expected to feature a host of premium features, including a large panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and digital instrumentation, and advanced safety systems. Prices are expected to range from Rs 32 lakh to Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Another Jeep model that will be receiving an update is the Meridian, the brand’s larger three-row SUV. It is expected to hit the market by November 2024. The updated Jeep Meridian will likely feature minor cosmetic tweaks, including new LED headlamps, reworked bumpers, and alloy wheel designs.
The cabin will see tech upgrades, such as a refreshed infotainment system and possibly wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV is expected to retain its powerful diesel engine. The price range is expected to be between Rs 33 lakh and Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki is also gearing up to launch the next-generation Dzire sedan. It will likely launch in October 2024. The new Dzire will come with a completely redesigned exterior, featuring sleek LED headlamps, a wider front grille, and more pronounced body lines.
Inside, the sedan will receive significant tech upgrades, including a 9-inch floating touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, and a single-pane sunroof. As for the powerplant, the Dzire will get Maruti’s new Z-series 1.2-liter engine. The expected price range will be between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10 lakh.
Mahindra, just a while ago, completely transformed its XUV300 and has renamed it the XUV 3XO. However, apart from this, the company is also working on the development of the XUV400’s facelift. This will make it look similar to the new XUV 3XO; however, it will feature some electric-only design cues. The powertrain is likely to remain the same, offering a range of up to 456 km on a single charge. The price range is expected to start at Rs 16 lakh and go up to Rs 20 lakh.
Adding another CNG model to its lineup, Tata Motors will officially launch the highly anticipated Nexon iCNG later this year. This variant will directly compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG, which currently leads the CNG sub-compact SUV segment. The Nexon iCNG is expected to retain the design and features of its petrol and diesel counterparts. It will feature the innovative twin-cylinder CNG kit from Tata Motors.
Last on this list is MG Motor India’s Gloster Facelift. The company is expected to launch the new facelifted Gloster later this year, around the festive season. It will feature design updates, including a revised front grille with horizontal slats and dual-pod vertical projector LED headlamps.
It will also get new LED DRLs aligned with the bonnet. The SUV will retain its boxy profile, with flared wheel arches, 19-inch alloy wheels, and twin-tip exhausts. The interior will see updates like a redesigned dashboard, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and an updated climate control panel. Powertrain options will remain the same, and it will start at around Rs 40 lakh.
