Upcoming Honda Amaze Spied Undisguised Before December 4th Launch

Honda Cars India recently released a few sketches of the upcoming generation of the Amaze sub-compact sedan. These sketches revealed a design that got everyone excited. Recently, a fully undisguised all-new 3rd generation Honda Amaze was spotted on the road, revealing what the production version will look like. It can be noted that the new Amaze has taken most of its design inspiration from its elder sibling, the Honda City.
The images of the soon-to-be-launched Honda Amaze on Indian roads without any camouflage have been shared by Motoroctane. From these images, we can note that Honda has completely revamped the exterior design of their popular sub-compact sedan. It will be making its official debut on the 4th of December.
Starting at the front, we can note that the company has changed the entire front fascia of this sedan. It now gets new LED headlights with chunky LED DRLs up top. Also, there are LED fog lights as well within a completely new front bumper. However, the entire design cannot be seen from this particular image as it has been taken at night.
We can observe that the Honda emblem at the front has been taped off to maintain secrecy. Coming to the side profile, the overall strong shoulder line seems to have been retained and looks similar to the current-generation model.
What’s new, though, are the set of diamond-cut alloy wheels. They look similar to the set of wheels that are seen on the Honda City. Apart from this, what we can see slightly more clearly are the design details of the rear end. The main highlight at the rear is the set of new LED taillights.
They look almost the same as the ones in the Honda City. The rear bumper has also been redesigned. Like the front, the rear emblems have also been hidden. Overall, the new-generation Amaze looks like a baby version of the Honda City, which indeed is a good thing for this already popular sub-compact sedan.
At the moment, there are no spy images of the upcoming Honda Amaze’s interior. However, the company has revealed with its sketches that it will take its inspiration from its compact SUV sibling, the Elevate. The overall dashboard layout will be very minimalistic but still get all the modern-day essential features.
The main highlight will be a large (most likely a 10.25-inch) touchscreen infotainment system. This time around, it will be freestanding, just like we have seen on the Honda Elevate. Apart from this, there will be Elevate-like automatic climate control buttons placed underneath the sleek AC vents.
Most likely, the new Amaze will also get a part-digital and part-analog instrument gauge cluster. There will also be the addition of a new style of steering wheel, which we currently see on the Honda City and the Elevate as well.
Moving slightly lower, there will also be a place to hold the phone. It is believed that the company could add a wireless charger in this spot as well. The center console will get two cup holders and a small storage space underneath the parking brake.
Reportedly, Honda will be retaining the same engine option as the current-generation model. The outgoing Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine. It makes 88.5 bhp and 110 Nm. Both a 5-speed manual and a CVT transmission are likely to be offered.
