The Vietnamese electric automaker VinFast Auto India recently announced its three major partnerships with Indian companies. Well, it has been confirmed that VinFast has signed dealer partner agreements with 13 major dealer groups for a total of 32 dealerships across 27 important cities in the country. The VinFast dealerships will be opened in cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, and many others.
VinFast Auto India has also announced that the pre-bookings for the VF6 and VF7 models will commence from July 15. The VF6 electric SUV is expected to start at Rs 25 lakh. Meanwhile, the VF7 will start at Rs 50 lakh. Both of these are anticipated pricings, and real pricing could differ.
The VF6 is expected to come powered by an electric powertrain capable of producing 200 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. As for the battery, it will be getting a large 59.6 kWh battery pack. The VF7, on the other hand, will come with a 75.3 kWh battery pack offering a real-world range of 450 km. It will be offered with front-wheel drive.
According to the company, it will be establishing 35 dealerships across India by the end of CY2025. It has currently divided the dealership network by regions, and 13 major dealer groups have been tasked with opening VinFast Auto India dealerships across 27 major cities. The list of cities includes Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur.
Additionally, more dealerships will be opened in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Cochin, Bhubaneswar, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Surat, Calicut, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Shimla, Agra, Jhansi, Gwalior, Vapi, Baroda, and Goa. As for the list of dealer groups, it includes Pasco Group, KB Group, EVM Group, and 10 other major regional players.
It appears that, at the moment, VinFast has not allocated any of its dealer partner groups to set up a dealership in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Most likely, it could be adding Mumbai to its list of dealer networks in the coming months. Presently, only Mumbai is missing from this list, which has been released by the company.
The company recently also announced its three major partnerships with Indian companies. Yesterday, it announced that it has signed an agreement with BatX Energies, which is an Indian clean-tech firm specializing in battery recycling. In addition to it, BatX Energies will also offer pan-India after-sales support. Its core focus includes the extraction of critical materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel.
Prior to this, VinFast Auto India highlighted that it has also joined hands with RoadGrid, which specializes in smart EV charging solutions and integrated after-sales support. VinFast has tasked RoadGrid with building a nationwide charging and service network.
