VinFast’s First Ever Dealership In India Is Almost Ready: Images

Vietnam’s EV manufacturer had announced their entry into the Indian market this year. They also announced their plans to manufacture their EVs in India. While the manufacturer is working on completing the construction of their manufacturing facility, they are also working on establishing dealerships. We have now come across an image online that shows India’s first VinFast dealership, which is almost ready.
The images have been shared by Deepak CS on his Instagram page. As per the post, the location of the dealership is in Kerala’s Ernakulam district. The exact location of the dealership is said to be Kalamassery.
The images give us a fair idea of how VinFast dealerships might look. The construction of the dealership is not complete yet, but it appears that the brand will be using a simple dual-tone blue shade for the banner, with the VinFast logo on it.
The interior of the dealership is not clearly visible, but it seems they are opting for an open-space concept, where the cars will be on display in front and the staff and customer discussion area will be at the back.
The interior work of the dealership is also not finished yet. This is the first set of images of a VinFast dealership in India that we have seen online. This is actually a good indicator that the brand is likely to launch their products in the market soon.
The construction of VinFast’s manufacturing facility in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, is likely to be completed in the coming months, and production of the EVs will commence soon after that. VinFast currently has plans to launch two electric SUVs in the market. Both these models are expected to be launched in the market this year.
They plan to expand their lineup with more products in the coming years. Apart from manufacturing EVs for the Indian market, VinFast would also utilise their facility in India for making models for the export market as well.
The two models that will be launched in India this year are the VinFast VF6 and VinFast VF7.
The VF6 is a mid-size electric SUV that is roughly the same size as the upcoming Maruti eVitara and the recently launched Hyundai Creta Electric. The front end of the electric SUV somewhat resembles a Nissan Juke. The front grille is completely closed, with a sleek LED DRL running towards the VinFast logo placed at the center.
The VF6 EV is 4,238 mm long. The 4-door SUV gets a slightly sloping roof at the rear and comes with thick cladding around the wheel arches and large dual-tone alloy wheels. The SUV offers 17-inch and 19-inch wheel options depending on the variant.
The EV has been spotted testing in India a couple of times. The VF6 is internationally offered in two variants: Eco and Plus. In India, VinFast is likely to launch the Eco variant, which comes with a single-motor setup. The eSUV generates 174 Bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. It is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed driving range of 410 km.
The VF7 is a slightly larger SUV and will sit above the VF6. The VF7 SUV measures 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. It also gets a similar design to the VF6 but with minor changes.
Internationally, the SUV is powered by a 75.3 kWh battery pack. It is available in both single and dual-motor options. The single-motor variant generates 201 Bhp and 310 Nm of torque, while the dual-motor (or AWD) variant generates 349 Bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The range of the VF7 is 450 km for the single-motor variant and 431 km for the dual-motor version.
