Vietnamese brand VinFast showcased their EVs to the Indian public earlier this year, and they even have plans to officially enter the Indian market. They are expected to start operations at their facility in India soon, and they will also be launching two new models this year. Out of the two, one of them is the VF6 electric SUV, which has been spotted testing in India. The SUV was seen charging as part of the ongoing tests.

The images have been shared by V3 Cars on their website. The website mentions that they spotted the VF6 Plus model. The VF6 will come in two variants — Plus and Eco. The VF6 seen in the images is finished in a white shade with black wheels, and the charging port is located on the front fender.

Exterior images of the electric SUV have been seen several times, but this is the first time we have seen the interiors of a test mule. The car shown here has the steering wheel on the right side. There is tape wrapped around the logo on the steering wheel, and we also see an all-black dashboard that looks extremely deep.

There is a large floating-type touchscreen infotainment system tilted towards the driver, and there are controls on the center console below the AC vents. There is also a floating-type center console with two cup holders, and we can see a rotary knob that appears to be the drive selector, with the hazard lamp switch right next to it.

There is no instrument cluster, but we do see a HUD (head-up display) setup on the dashboard. The touchscreen infotainment screen shows all the information needed for the driver, and in the picture, we get a hint of the range and some other details that we expect to see in the upcoming SUV.

VinFast has not officially released any specifications about the upcoming EV, but as per the available or leaked details, it looks like the Vietnamese brand is planning to offer the higher variant of the EV with a 59.6 kWh battery pack. This version will focus on power and is expected to generate around 203 PS and 310 Nm of peak torque. This Pro version is claimed to offer a range of 381 km.

The Eco version, as the name suggests, will focus on range. It is powered by the same 59.6 kWh battery pack, but it generates 176 PS and 250 Nm of torque. The claimed range for this version is 399 km. Both of these versions are front-wheel driven. The numbers mentioned above are for the international version, and it remains to be seen whether VinFast will make any changes for the Indian version.

The VinFast VF6 is a compact electric SUV that will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVitara, and the MG ZS EV. Only time will tell if VinFast will launch the VF6 at an attractive price point in the market to help it stand out from the rest. Apart from the VF6, VinFast will also be launching the VF7 this year, and as part of the brand's expansion, they might bring in more models.
