Vinfast VF7 Electric SUV Base Variant In Detailed Walkaround: Should Tata Harrier.ev Be Worried? [Video]

The Vietnamese electric car manufacturer Vinfast recently entered the Indian automotive market. Now, in order to make waves here, the company is offering its mid-size SUV VF7, which rivals the Tata Harrier.ev, with an amazing starting price of Rs 20.89 lakh. Recently, a detailed video walkaround of the Vinfast VF7 base variant has been shared online.
This video walkaround of the Vinfast VF7 base variant comes courtesy of Ajit Godse, who has shared it on YouTube. It starts off with the host introducing the Vinfast VF7 and mentioning that it has been launched at a very attractive price of Rs 20.89 lakh. He then starts showing the VF7 Earth base variant in detail.
Following the introduction, the vlogger starts showing the exterior design of the Vinfast VF7 Earth variant. He starts at the front of this SUV and mentions that it gets very smooth body lines. There are not many sharp lines on the body, which help with the aerodynamics as it is a fully electric car.
He then shows the V-shaped LED DRLs on the front, which are not connected and extend till the Vinfast logo in the middle. Following this, he shows the LED projector headlights and the front camera along with parking sensors. The host adds that despite being the base variant, the VF7 gets an ADAS Level 2 sensor at the front and premium-looking gloss black and brushed aluminum elements on the lower front grille.
After this, he moves to the side profile of the SUV and starts showing the large 19-inch alloy wheels. He highlights that the higher variants get dual-tone wheels, but the base variant gets them in silver color. He then shows the charging port of the SUV on the front left fender and mentions that it comes equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery pack.
As per the presenter, the real-world range is around 300 km in normal mode. He then mentions that the company is offering the battery with a 7-year warranty. Additionally, Vinfast is also offering its electric SUVs with free charging till July 2028. The service is free till July 2028 as well.
This has been done to lure in buyers in the price-sensitive Indian automotive market. The vlogger then mentions that it is 200 mm longer than its direct rival, the Tata Harrier.ev. Other notable highlights of the side include flush-type door handles, which have to be retracted manually, and it also comes with a camera on the ORVMs as well.
The rest of the side profile looks very premium. He then moves to the rear and shows the LED taillights with V-shaped extending lights. It also gets rear parking sensors and a camera, and overall, it looks very premium.
Following the exterior, the vlogger then starts showing the interior of the VF7 Earth variant. He mentions that it gets a very premium interior feel despite being the base variant. Notable highlights include a large floating 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is very responsive. He adds that it also acts as the digital instrument gauge cluster and air conditioning controller as well.
There are buttons on the dashboard for drive mode selection, and the SUV also gets a heads-up display, a wireless charger, and three cup holders. He adds that overall, the quality of the vegan leather used on seats is very premium, and even the base variant gets seat ventilation.
