With the new year kicking in, many Volkswagen dealers are trying hard to clear Model Year (MY) 24 inventory. Unsold cars and SUVs get chunky price cuts and benefits. The total discount that can be availed include flat cash discounts, exchange bonus or scrappage bonuses and loyalty bonuses . Thus, not all variants qualify for these.

The Volkswagen Virtus is one of the best-selling sedans in the C-segment. It is in high demand. The sedan is now offered with discounts of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. These can be availed on MY24 stock, in most dealerships. This includes a loyalty bonus of Rs 50,000 for existing Polo owners. The 2025 Virtus gets discounts of up to 70,000 rupees.
The Virtus is based on the heavily localised MQB A0 IN platform. This chassis has more than 95% localisation gone into it. Two engine options are available: 1.0 TSI turbocharged petrol and 1.5 TSI turbo-petrol.
The smaller engine offers the choice of a manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. The automatic transmission available on the 1.5 TSI is a 7-speed DSG unit.
At present, the Virtus is priced from 11.56 Lakh and goes all the way up to 19.40 Lakh for the top-spec ( all prices ex-showroom). In the Indian market, the Virtus competes with the Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna.

The Taigun is VW's most popular compact SUV. It has an understated design and a loud European flair. On the 2024 inventory, up to 2 lakh can be had in savings. This includes a loyalty bonus of up to Rs 50,000 for existing Polo owners. For MY25 cars, up to 1 lakh can be had in discounts.
The Taigun is based on the same platform as the Virtus. It, however, has a higher ground clearance, owing to its SUV DNA. It shares the same engine and transmission options as the sedan.
Priced in the 11.7- 21.1 lakh bracket, the Taigun competes with the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Kia Seltos, Grand Vitara and Hyryder in the Indian market.

The Tiguan is Volkswagen's current flagship in India. It is now being offered with huge discounts and benefits. You can save up to 4.2 lakh on the Tiguan. This includes loyalty bonus, cash discounts, scrappage or exchange bonus and various other benefits.
With a starting price of 38.16 lakh, ex-showroom, the SUV is a rival to the Skoda Kodiaq. It gets a 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission. This 4 cylinder engine makes 190 PS and 320 Nm.
