Volkswagen Virtus Flash Red Deliveries Commence: Only 200 Cars To Be Made [Video]

Volkswagen India has commenced deliveries of the newly launched Virtus and Taigun Flash Red models. Limited to only 200 units, the delivery of the first Volkswagen Virtus Flash Red in North Karnataka has been shared online. This particular color has been launched exclusively for the GT Line variants of the Virtus and Taigun.
The video showing the delivery of the first Volkswagen Virtus Flash Red in Karnataka has been shared on Instagram by Shashi Chavan on their page. In the short clip, the owner can be seen driving the brand-new Virtus out of the Volkswagen dealership. The vehicle was decorated with a big garland, and the Flash Red color can be seen in its full glory under the sunlight.
Last month, Volkswagen India, in order to push the sales of the Virtus and the Taigun, launched the Flash Red color option. As mentioned, this particular color is only available with the GT Line variants of these vehicles. Other standard models get a deeper shade of red. This particular color, on the other hand, is a lot brighter and more eye-catching.
In addition to the Flash Red paint on the outside, the Virtus and Taigun also get a blacked-out styling package. This includes the roof, outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), alloy wheels, and door handles. Overall, this combination of black and Flash Red looks very sporty and adds to the aggressive appearance of both of these vehicles.
It has to be mentioned that Volkswagen is only offering the GT Line variants with the 1.0-litre TSI, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. This motor is capable of producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine, which makes 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, is not available with the Flash Red color option.
In terms of features, the Flash Red models remain identical to the standard 1.0-litre models. They come with features like an electric sunroof, a 20.32 cm Digital Cockpit, and a 25.65 cm VW Play Touchscreen infotainment system, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Volkswagen has been working on the development of the Virtus and Taigun facelifts for a while now. Over the last few months, we have seen a number of test mules of the Taigun facelift with camouflage. The upcoming version of this mid-size SUV will be getting a set of brand-new LED headlights and DRLs and a set of new bumpers. It will also be getting ADAS Level 2 and a panoramic sunroof.
As for the Virtus, so far, no test mule of the Virtus has been spotted testing in India. However, it has been reported that the company will be launching a new facelifted iteration of this sedan, as it is long due for it. It will also be getting a new set of LED headlights and DRLs, bumpers, and other minor cosmetic upgrades. Reports have suggested that it too could get a panoramic sunroof and ADAS Level 2. The launch of these models is expected early next year.
