Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus Get Massive Discounts Of Upto Rs. 1.8 Lakh: Details
Volkswagen currently has three models on offer in India: the entry-level sedan Virtus, the Taigun compact SUV, and the flagship model Tiguan. It looks like the manufacturer is now offering discounts on all three models in the market this month. The Virtus and the Taigun, which are aimed at the mass segment, are being offered with a maximum discount of Rs 1.8 lakh.
Volkswagen Virtus
The mid-size sedan from Volkswagen competes with cars like the Hyundai Verna and the Honda City in its segment. It is a good-looking sedan in its segment and is offered with two petrol engine options. Volkswagen is offering the Virtus with benefits of up to Rs 1.45 lakh, which includes cash discounts, exchange, and loyalty bonuses. It should be noted that this offer is only applicable to the 1.0 TSI MY2024 models.
Volkswagen is also offering the entry-level Comfortline 1.0 TSI at a special price of Rs 10.90 lakh, ex-showroom. The 1.5 TSI variants of the Virtus are available with benefits worth Rs 70,000, which include exchange and loyalty bonuses. Certain two-airbag variants of the Virtus are being offered with an additional Rs 40,000 cash discount. The price for the Virtus goes up to Rs 19.41 lakh, ex-showroom, before the discount.
Volkswagen Taigun
For the month of July, Volkswagen is offering benefits worth Rs 1.80 lakh on select variants of this SUV. The SUV is offered with the same petrol engines as the Virtus sedan. The Taigun competes with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate in its segment. The MY24 1.0 TSI model of the Taigun gets benefits worth Rs 1.30 lakh, which includes cash discounts, exchange, and loyalty bonuses. The MY2024 1.5 TSI variant of the SUV gets a discount of Rs 1 lakh off the ex-showroom price. The base 1.0 TSI MT variant of the Taigun is also being offered at a special offer price of Rs 10.90 lakh, ex-showroom. This variant also gets a Rs 20,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 20,000 loyalty bonus.
If you are buying the MY2023 model of the Taigun, all variants are getting an additional discount of Rs 50,000 over the benefits offered on the MY24 models. The MY23 Taigun GT 1.5 TSI is available at a special price of Rs 14.99 lakh, ex-showroom, along with an Rs 80,000 exchange bonus and a Rs 20,000 loyalty bonus.
Just like in the case of the Virtus, Volkswagen is offering an additional Rs 40,000 discount on the older models of the Taigun, which were offered with two airbags. The price for this SUV goes up to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom, before discounts.
Volkswagen Tiguan
The flagship SUV from the manufacturer is also available at a discount this month. The SUV is being offered with benefits worth Rs 3.40 lakh. The MY2023 models get a cash discount of Rs 75,000, along with an exchange bonus of Rs 75,000, corporate benefits worth Rs 1 lakh, and a complimentary four-year service pack worth Rs 90,000.
The MY2024 version of the Tiguan gets a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 75,000. The flagship SUV from Volkswagen is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that sends power to all four wheels and is paired with a seven-speed DCT gearbox. The engine generates a maximum of 190 Ps and 320 Nm of peak torque. The price for this flagship SUV in India is Rs 35 lakh, ex-showroom, before discounts.
