Upto 4.2 Lakh Discount On Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus And Tiguan

Volkswagen India’s domestic portfolio consists of three models, including two strong models- Virtus and Taigun. The flagship continues to be the Tiguan. The carmaker now has a range of hefty discounts on offer on these. As of February 2025, the Tiguan gets the biggest cuts and discounts. It is now available with savings of around 4.2 lakh rupees. Customers get to avail flat cash discounts, an exchange bonus/ a scrappage bonus, and loyalty bonuses. These benefits aren’t limited to yesteryear models. You can avail these on MY25 inventory as well.
Before we take a deep dive, be informed that the actual cuts and savings will vary according to the city you are in and could also be subject to stock availability. It is always advisable to check with your latest VW dealer for details of these vehicles.
You can now save up to 4.20 lakh on the Tiguan. This includes loyalty bonuses, cash discounts, and other benefits like scrappage bonuses if applicable. The five-seater Tiguan draws its juice from a 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Volkswagen is also known to be working on introducing the all-new Volkswagen Tayron later this year, as a Tiguan replacement. This is also a reason for it to sell with such huge discounts.
The Taigun is a strong seller in the Indian market. This India 2.0 SUV is available with both a 1.0L TSI and a 1.5L TSI turbocharged petrol engines and offers the choice of both manual and automatic transmissions. It now comes in two broad versions- the Taigun Sport and Taigun Chrome.
Customers can now save 2-2.2 lakh rupees on MY2024 Taigun units if unsold inventory is available. These savings are inclusive of loyalty bonuses, cash discounts, and other benefits like scrappage bonuses where applicable. The MY25 Taigun, in comparison, offers smaller savings. It can be had with savings of up to Rs 80,000 on most variants. The Taigun prices now start at Rs 11.70 lakh for the 1.0 base-spec. The top-spec would cost you Rs 19.73 lakh, ex-showroom.
Like the Taigun, the Virtus sedan is also available with two turbocharged petrol engine options- 1.0 and 1.5 TSIs. Unsold MY24 Virtus now offers discounts of up to 1.7 lakh rupees- higher than the previous figures of 1.5 lakh. This is, however, highly subject to stock availability.
The MY2025 Virtus, on the other hand, would offer benefits of up to Rs 80,000 on both engines. The sedan’s prices start at Rs 11.5 lakh and go up to Rs 19.39 lakh, ex-showroom. Like the Taigun, the sedan also is available in two broad versions- Chrome and Sport.
Volkswagen India is known to be working on facelifts to the Virtus and Taigun. These new iterations will likely launch in late 2025 or early 2026. This means that the carmaker has to clear unsold inventory of the pre-facelift models ASAP. This could also be a reason why huge discounts are being offered on the Virtus and Taigun now.
The facelifted Virtus and Taigun are expected to feature a bunch of styling changes, along with notable revamps to the equipment list. The engines and transmission options are hoped to remain untouched.
Despite being a niche product, the Golf GTI is one of the highly anticipated launches from Volkswagen this year. It is expected to launch later this month. This globally acclaimed hot hatch will serve as a Halo car for Volkswagen India, and help in reaffirming its brand reputation. Almost certain to be brought in as CBUs, the Golf GTI will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine (EA888) that produces 265 bhp and 370 Nm.
