After Skoda Auto India, Volkswagen is also planning to initiate a recall on their Virtus and Taigun models. The company will soon recall these vehicles over an issue with the rear seat belt in certain units of these models. Both Skoda and Volkswagen are part of the same group and are based on the same platforms. Both these models share several parts, which is why both brands are recalling their models with the issue.

The issue with the Taigun and Virtus is the same as in the Slavia and Kushaq. There is an issue with the rear seat belt. As per the report, the cars that were manufactured between 24 May 2024 and 1 April 2025 are affected. This issue was identified during the quality control process carried out by the brand. As many as 21,513 units are likely to be recalled to get the issue fixed.
