People of India demand hot hatchbacks from manufacturers, but when they finally launch them, the hot hatchbacks are not as big as a hit that they expected them to be. One of the reasons is the pricing because the hot hatchbacks are priced on the higher side of the spectrum buyers just prefer to settle for a compact-SUV or some other bigger vehicle because they are more practical and at the end of the day, they have a family that will travel with them. However, there are still some enthusiasts that are looking for a fun little hot hatchback that can put a smile on their face. Unfortunately, most of the hot hatchbacks are now discontinued in the Indian market because of poor response from the market. But you can still find some good examples of them in the pre-owned market. So, here are 5 hot hatchbacks that are currently on sale in the pre-owned market

Tata Tiago JTP

The first advertisement is of a Tata Tiago JTP which was a performance version of the Tiago. Tata plonked in a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from Nexon compact-SUV into their small hatchback, Tiago. Due to which it produced 112 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 150 Nm. It was mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle here has covered 9,400 km and is the first-owner vehicle. The Tiago JTP is finished in Red and is a 2019 model. The description of the advertisement says that both the keys are available and the hatchback is covered with insurance. Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS

Here is an August 2016 Baleno RS, which was introduced by Maruti Suzuki. Despite being a Baleno it was not quite successful because of its high pricing. And finally, because of the BS6 update, Maruti Suzuki discontinued the Baleno RS. The vehicles here has covered 25,000 km and is the first-owner vehicle. It is covered with Comprehensive insurance and is registered in Haryana. Cosmetically there was not a lot of difference. It just got a different set of more aggressive front and rear bumpers and a lower ride height. The main difference was the mechanical one, it came with a 1.0-litre turbocharged BoosterJet petrol engine. The engine was capable of producing 100 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 150 Nm and it was imported from Japan. It was only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine produced 108 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 250 Nm. That is a lot of torque for a small hatchback.
