In December 2020, the City had a market shared of 41 percent in its segment, beating other sedans like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Verna. Honda currently also sells the 4th generation of the City alongside the new one. This helps in capturing more market and attracting more people. More than 50 percent of the cars sold were of the top-end ZX variant. The 5th generation City is offered in a petrol engine and a diesel engine. All the variants of the petrol engine get a CVT gearbox option whereas diesel engine is offered only with a manual gearbox. The benefit of buying a pre-owned vehicle is you can save a bunch of money on it, there is no waiting period and some vehicles also come with a factory warranty.
