Other premium car brands in the used car business

BMW India is the second premium car brand to plunge into used car market. Its arch rival, Mercedes-Benz was the first premium car brand to start the pre-owned car business, “Proven Exclusivity” in India in June 2010 and has sold more than 600 used cars within the first six months of its launch.

The popularity and accessibility of premium car brand vehicles will widen once the used cars have manufacturer warranty. This will indirectly help the premium car brands to widen their customer base. The market of pre-owned cars in India is expected to grow substantially in the next couple of years.
