Actor Vijay’s Rolls Royce Ghost for sale
As per the dealership – Empire Autos, actor Vijay’s Rolls Royce Ghost is a Series I model and was registered by him in 2012. Presently, this 12-year-old luxury sedan is in pristine condition and has all the service records since it was purchased. The odometer reading on this Rolls Royce is 22,000 km.
The dealership has also highlighted that there is no flood damage on the car and it drives perfectly. Additionally, it has also been stated that all of the electronics and features inside and outside are working as designed by Rolls Royce. As for the pricing, the dealership has quoted Rs 2.6 crore for actor Vijay’s Rolls Royce Ghost Series I. However, this price is negotiable.
Actor Vijay was fined for this Rolls Royce
For those who may not be aware, actor Vijay was directed by Madras High Court to pay a Rs 1 lakh fine for this Rolls Royce. Back in 2021, it was reported that Justice S M Subramaniam imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Vijay. The court imposed the fine because the actor tried evading paying the tax by challenging the tax demand made by the commercial tax department.
It was highlighted by the court that the actor has a large-scale fanbase. So he is not expected to evade tax. Following this, in March 2022, Vijay’s lawyer said in the latest hearing that they should have been fined 2 percent per month. Instead, they have been fined 400 percent, he highlighted.
The lawyer representing Vijay in court stated that back in September 2021, the actor paid an entry tax of Rs. 7,98,075. Following this, in December 2021, the Commercial Tax Department asked for a fine of Rs. 30,23,609 for the interim period of non-payment of tax. He stated that the tax was being asked for the duration from December 2005 to September 2021.
Following this, the lawyer stated that they would only be fined 2 percent per month. That too from the time the car was imported. However, they had been fined 400 percent. The Tax Department requested the court to dismiss the case and impose a fine for delay in payment of tax.
Most likely at the moment all the dues on the Rolls Royce are clear. So any person who decides to buy actor Vijay’s Rolls Royce Ghost will not have to pay any more previously due taxes. They will only need to pay the taxes incurred after the purchase of this vehicle.
