Honda Civic

The Civic was Honda’s take the entry level luxury sedan segment. When it was introduced, it blew the public away thanks to its sporty looks, digital speedo and cool interiors. The company also offered paddle shifters with the automatic variant. The Civic was powered by a 1.8 liter VTEC engine that produced 132 Bhp and 172 Nm. Maruti SX-4

The SX-4 was Maruti’s answer to the Honda City, or so they thought. While there was no flaw in the product, it could not take down the Honda City. The SX-4 also came with an automatic gearbox, though briefly. Power came from a 1.6 liter engine that produced 103 Bhp and 145 Nm. The transmission in question was a 4-speed torque converter unit. Honda CR-V

The CR-V was the first premium compact SUV that was introduced in the Indian market, and boy-o-boy, what a success it was. When it was introduced, it had massive fan following. The CR-V crossover was introduced with both 2.0 and 2.4 liter engine options, both having the automatic transmission. We found a 2.0 liter example here for Rs 1.90 lakhs: Link

Toyota Corolla

The Corolla has always been the practical man’s choice of wheels. It is comfortable, adequately equipped and is very reliable. The car was powered by a 1.8 liter engine which produced 125 Bhp and 158 Nm. The engine was mated to a 4-speed torque converter unit.

Hyundai Sonata

The Sonata is one more such luxury vehicle that was found for really cheap. We found a newer generation Embera for Rs 2.0 lakhs. Power comes from a 2.4 liter engine making 165 Bhp and 235 Nm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed torque converter unit. You can find the vehicle here: Link
