DC Vampire Used By Salman Khan Is Up For sale: Cheaper Than A Maruti WagonR

DC Designs which is now known as DC2 is known for customising the interior as well as the exterior of vehicles. While they make look the interior of the car very premium and luxurious, we cannot say the same about exterior. There are several weird-looking examples of DC-modified cars and SUVs in India and we have featured some of them in the past as well. One such odd-looking creation by DC was called Vampire. They made it back in the 90s and the car is now available in the used car market for sale.
As many other creations from DC, the Vampire is also based on another car. The donor car for this project was actually a Daewoo Cielo sedan. The car gets an odd-looking exterior design and it was introduced at a time when DC Akra and DC Arya were also revealed.
The DC Vampire became the most popular among them as it was featured in the Bollywood movie “Chal Mere Bhai” in which Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Karisma Kapoor played lead roles.

DC Vampire is not a sedan anymore, the car is actually modified to look like a convertible. Like many other DC creations, this one also does not look like the donor car anymore. The whole car has been redesigned. When DC introduced Vampire in the market, it did draw a lot of attention and the design was polarising.
Some people liked it while others did not. The front-end of the car looks different from any other car on the road. It was probably inspired by the Plymouth Prowler. DC also added Corvette-like tail lamps to Vampire. The car was designed in a way that it grabs the attention of international audiences too.
Daewoo Cielo was a 4-door sedan however, when DC modified it, they made Vampire into a 2-door convertible. The stock wheels on the car have been replaced with wider-looking tyres and aftermarket alloy wheels.
DC has made extensive changes to the exterior and interior of the car but, it is not clear if they have given any exclusive or premium feature to the Vampire that differentiates it from regular Cielo.
As we mentioned above, the car seen here in the pictures is available for sale. The seller of this car had put the advertisement couple of years ago. At that time, the car was located in Karnataka. According to the seller, the car had done around 23,000 km and it is registered in Karnataka.
The seller mentions that all the documents of the car are updated. Any type of modification on vehicle is completely illegal in India. To be on a safer side, it is always a good idea to check the registration papers of the vehicle.
Daewoo as a car brand has also left Indian market long time ago, so finding parts and getting the car serviced might be an issue. It is highly unlikely that DC might have changed the engine on this car. The asking price for this car around Rs 8 lakh.
