Mercedes G-Wagen styled Force Gurka off road SUV for sale

The Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen is the pinnacle of retro-utilitarian SUV with modern technology. The SUV has now become a statement of luxury and we have seen that many SUVs do resemble its design because not everyone can afford a G-Wagen. So, manufacturers are using some of the G-Class’s elements in their SUVs. In India, Mercedes-Benz G-Class starts from Rs. 1.50 Crores ex-showroom and goes all the way upto Rs. 2.28 Crores ex-showroom for the AMG variant. Meet the Force Gurkha that’s been modified to look like a G-Wagen. The vehicle is currently on sale and the seller is asking Rs. 16.5 lakhs, which makes it cheaper than compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Considering how heavily the Gurkha is modified, many people could mistake it for a G-Wagen, and this is the biggest selling point of this vehicle. Due to this many people have converted their similar-looking SUVs to look like the G-Wagen. For instance, here we have a Force Gurkha that has been tastefully modified to resemble a Mercedes Benz G-Class. This Gurkha is a 2017 model, second-owner and is registered in Ernakulam, Kerala. According to the seller, the vehicle is insured till 11-09-2021.

The Gurkha has undergone a lot of cosmetic changes, but no mechanical changes. So, it continues to get a 2.6-litre diesel engine which produces 85 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 230 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It comes with a dedicated low-range gearbox and 4×4 system which should help while off-roading.

The Gurkha gets a G-Wagen’s front cosmetic upgrades such as headlamps, bumper, LED Daytime Running Lamps and a front grille. The front badge is replaced with “Brabus” which is an aftermarket tuning company famous for tuning Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Even the indicators were placed on the bonnet just like we have seen on the G-Wagon. Also, the rearview mirrors are lifted straight from the original Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen and it also gets side exiting exhaust tips. Although, we cannot confirm if they are functional or only for cosmetic purpose.

Then comes the side profile which gets redesigned wheel arches which have seen on the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen and 18-inch blacked-out alloy wheels. Even the tyres are replaced for Yokohama Geolander tyres. At the rear, there is a mounted full-size spare wheel, new bumper and LED tail lamps.

The interior also sees an overhaul with all four stock seats being replaced with the ones from Toyota Innova so they should be more comfortable. The seats are covered with superior quality leather cover and the steering also gets a stitched leather wrap. The SUV also gets power windows, sunroof, central locking, Sony’s infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth, four speakers, two tweeters and reverse parking cameras which will help to park the car in tight spaces.

The body is painted in a matte black paint scheme which gives it a very stealthy look and even the underbody is coated which should help with rust protection.
