The Hyundai Venue is one of the highest selling SUVs in India. The sub-4 meter, mini SUV averages around 10,000 copies each month, and even beat the Maruti Vitara Brezza for a couple of months to emerge as the best seller in its segment. The big numbers that the Venue is doing in the new car market also means that many are landing up in the used car market, most of them selling at much lower prices. Of course, such nearly-new Hyundai Venue SUVs come with the factory warranty, and buyers also get to skip waiting times. Here’s one more such Hyundai Venue that has hit the used car market. It’s currently with its first owner in the city of Nakodar, Punjab, and the asking price is Rs. 10.25 lakhs. The used mini-SUV is in the diesel SX trim, and has covered 3,200 Kms. A brand new Venue in the same trim is priced at Rs. 10.95 lakhs in Punjab, which makes the used example about Rs. 70,000 cheaper. Check out the ad here.

The diesel powered Venue is offered with a 1.4 liter-4 cylinder turbocharged engine with 89 Bhp of peak power and 220 Nm of peak torque. A six speed manual gearbox is standard with this engine, along with a front wheel drive layout. This diesel engine is known for its high refinement levels and does pack in quite a punch after 1,800 rpm. Lower down, there’s some turbo lag, which can be overcome by getting into a lower gear.

The Venue is also offered with two other engines, both petrols. The entry-evel model gets a 1.2 liter-4 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor with 82 Bhp-114 Nm. A 5 speed manual gearbox is standard with this engine. Higher variants get a 1 liter-3 cylinder turbocharged petrol motor with 118 Bhp-172 Nm. This motor gets two gearbox options: a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed twin clutch automatic.

The top-end trims of the Venue are feature-rich. Six airbags, ABS, ESP, traction control, hill hold assist, electric sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, on-board internet connectivity and smartphone app-based control of various car features such as remote engine start, car locater, etc., automatic climate control, air purifier and rear AC vents. The Venue competes with the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300. Prices of the mini SUV start from Rs. 6.5 lakhs for the base variant, going all the way up to Rs. 11.1 lakhs for the top-end SX DCT trim. Waiting periods range between a couple of weeks to 3-4 months for specific, high-demand variants.
