The Volkswagen Polo is one of those iconic hatchbacks in the Indian automotive market which, despite being discontinued, still has a cult-like following. Today, you can find a number of decently used Volkswagen Polos for sale across the country. However, while window shopping, we came across a Polo which is the only one in India. This particular hatchback has been fully customized by famous designer DC – Dilip Chhabria – and, back in the day, more than Rs 30 lakh was spent on modifications for this car.

This particular Volkswagen Polo, which has been modified by DC, is currently the only one for sale in the entire country. It is located in Kochi, Kerala, and the owner has shared this listing on the Facebook Marketplace. As per the post, this particular Volkswagen Polo is a 2011 model year vehicle. As for the specific variant, it is the 1.6 MPI petrol Highline variant.
The exact mileage covered by this Polo has not been shared. However, the owner has highlighted that the cost of the modifications alone for this Polo, when it was originally modified by DC – Dilip Chhabria – was Rs 30 lakh. Apart from that, this vehicle has also been given a Stage 2 tune from Code 6, which is one of the most popular tuning companies in India.
Exterior design and condition
Now, taking a detailed look at this particular Polo, we can note that this vehicle has been given an extensive exterior makeover. Starting off at the front, we can note that its entire front fascia has been completely changed, and it does not look like any other Polo or Volkswagen vehicle sold across the globe. The headlights of this hatchback are very sleek, with a projector setup.
Apart from this, the front bumper is also completely brand-new, and it gets two LED fog lights as well. Additionally, there is a large air dam on the lower section of the front bumper, and it gets a small LED light bar on the front as well. Most likely, it has been added to increase the visibility of the road during the night. Moving on to the side profile, we can note the true extent of the modifications done by DC.
The main highlight of this particular Polo is that it does not get four doors like the standard model. Rather, it only gets two doors. This particular feat has been achieved by doing a lot of custom fabrication. This hatchback also gets a new rear window glass as well. Other highlights of the side include widened front and rear fenders and a set of aftermarket 17-inch alloy wheels.
In the post, the owner has also mentioned that the brakes of this Polo have also been upgraded. Apart from these, it also sits on upgraded suspension. The vehicle has also been wrapped in Averi Dennis wrap and has been given tiger-like black stripes on the side profile, and the bonnet has also been wrapped in matte black.
Moving to the rear end, we can note that it looks nothing like the standard model. It gets a unique mesh-like rear LED taillight, and the rear bumper is also much more aggressive. It also comes equipped with reverse parking sensors and a reverse camera. There are two rectangular blacked-out exhaust ports on the lower section as well.
As for the interior, the dashboard looks the same as the standard model. However, it has been given an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system and special racing seats with four-point harness. Additionally, it also gets a custom-made sunroof as well. The seller is asking Rs 6.5 lakh for this DC modified Volkswagen Polo.
