Skoda Superb 2.0TDI PD, Skoda Superb 3.6V6 FSI 4×4 launched

Skoda Auto India launched the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI PD and 3.6V6 FSI 4×4, April 8, 2009, at Taj West End, in Bangalore.

The launch of the Skoda Superb 2.0TDI PD and 3.6V6 FSI 4×4 were on the cards since the petrol version of Skoda Superb was launched in March 2009, powered by 1.8 TSI (Petrol) engine.

The Skoda Superb Diesel 2.0TDI PD sports an automatic 6-speed, DSG, with manual Tiptronic gear changing.

The stand-out feature of the car is an inbuilt turbocharger with a high pressure direct injection system and the Pumpe Düse (PD) technology.

This, many consider is an attempt to give the customers a powerful vehicle with good fuel efficiency. The car has a 2.0 litre engine.

The Skoda Superb 3.6V6 FSI 4×4

The Skoda Superb 3.6V6 FSI 4×4 version of the car gives 350 nm of torque b/w 2500-5000 rpm and can go from 0 to 100kph in 6 seconds. It also incorporates a 3.6 Litre V6 FSI engine that, gives 260 bhp, and 7-Speed DSG gearbox.

The car comes with a fourth-generation Haldex clutch variable four-wheel drive system that delivers power to the road.

The vehicle will be available in colors, such as Black Magic, Rosso Brunello, Cappuccino Beige, Diamond Silver, Candy White and Platinum Grey (Exclusive for the V6).

At the launch of the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI PD and Skoda Superb 3.6 V6 FSI 4×4, the company announced the launch of its the 61st Skoda Auto dealership with the largest ‘Concept’ showroom in Hosur, Bangalore.

Mr Kuehl said, “We have a long standing association with the Tafe Access group and with the new facility in Bangalore it only gets stronger and better.”

Czech auto giant Skoda, is a part of German automaker Volkswagen and is now foraying into the small car, MPV and SUV segments.
