Used BMW 5-series 525i luxury sedan selling cheaper than a Maruti Dzire

The well maintained BMW 5-Series here is the E60 generation model, which is among the most controversial 5-series ever due to its love it or hate it design. It is the 525i model made in 2008 and is powered by a 2.5 litre 6 cylinder petrol engine that churns out around 212 Bhp of power along with 246 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. The car is currently with its second owner and has an odometer reading of 81,000 km. The seller claims that the tires are at their 60% capacity and the car delivers a mixed fuel efficiency of 6 km/l.

Talking about the features on this car, it comes with 10 Airbags, ABS, push-button start, automatic sunroof, power steering, power windows, automatic dual climate control, touch infotainment system, dual-tone leather interiors, remote central locking, Fog lamps, steering mounted controls, electronic seat adjustments, cruise control, and dual MID display mode among others. A lot of of features on this car are quite high-end that are not present on the Maruti Dzire. A more powerful engine and acres of rear-seat legroom are an added plus apart from the value of owning a BMW car.

As already mentioned above, the asking price of this car is Rs. 10 lakh. The seller is also offering a free one year warranty with the car which further sweetens the deal. The car is available for sale in Bengaluru. Going by the images, the interiors, as well as the exteriors, seem to be in a pretty good condition but if you are interested in it, do give it a solid hands-on check to make sure it isn’t damaged. Also, one important aspect to consider here is that the maintenance and service cost of this BMW 525i will be much higher than the Maruti Dzire. Therefore, go for it only if you can afford to maintain it or else the car will burn a hole in your pocket every time it goes for servicing.
