Used Volkswagen Passat luxury sedan for sale: CHEAPER than a new S-Presso

Volkswagen Passat is a well-known name in the Indian market. The luxury sedan, which is currently discontinued in the Indian market is known for its excellent value-for-money features and comfort compared to the luxury brands like Audi and BMW. Here is a Volkswagen Passat that is for sale in the used car market. The asking price of this Volkswagen Passat is only Rs 6.25 lakhs, which makes it cheaper than many entry-level cars including the humble S-Presso.
The car on sale is listed by Baba Luxury Cars. The car seems to be in black colour but the seller has mentioned that it is a deep grey colour. Nonetheless, multiple pictures show that this Passat is in a top condition and there are no dents or scratches on the body. The seller has not mentioned the odometer reading but it seems to be in great condition. It is located in Delhi but the registration details of the car Passat have not been revealed. The seller has also not mentioned details like insurance coverage and service records of the car.

This is the Comfortline variant of the Passat, which came with a price tag of around Rs 25 lakhs in 2011. It gets a diesel engine and an automatic transmission and at a price of Rs 6.5 lakhs, no other car in the new car market offers the same combination.
It comes powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 170 Bhp at 4,200 rpm. The torque peaks at 350 Nm between 1,750 rpm and 2,500 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Passat is quite powerful and Volkswagen claimed that it can reach a maximum speed of 233 km/h. It is also a very spacious car with a generous amount of room in the second row and 566-litres of boot space.
It should be noted that even though the car is priced cheaper than an S-Presso, maintaining an old Passat will be much more expensive than a new S-Presso. Since it is an older car, it will require replacement of parts to keep it running and it may cost quite a lot. Whereas, a brand-new S-Presso will be pocket-friendly when it comes to maintenance.
